Physical Education Department plays a vital role in the overall development of individuals and society. Physical education is essential for developing a healthy body, sound mind, and strong character. It supports holistic development and prepares individuals to lead active, disciplined, and balanced lives. The Government of Karnataka has made a new rule that each and every Govt department will be having 2% reservation for sports quota jobs in all the Government Departments.
Seshadripuram Education Trust also supports sports students by providing Scholarship for each National and International representation and sports quota is provided for eligible sports students. The Physical Education has produced various International and National level sports persons in various sports such as Athletics, Yoga, cross country, weight lifting and many others. Every year Physical Education Department will organize National level Tournaments and Bangalore University Inter collegiate sports activities. The students will have an opportunity to participate in various Inter collegiate tournaments organized by Bangalore University and many private inter collegiate tournaments. The department also organizes Intramural activities every month there will be interclass activities such as chess, carom, Badminton, Volleyball, Throw Ball, Cricket, Tug of War along with Annual Athletic meet and Seshadripuram Premier league (Leather ball Cricket tournament).
